Christabel Pankhurst
Christabel Pankhurst, in exile in France, 5 September 1913. In March 1912 a warrant was issued for the arrest of Christabel on a charge of conspiracy to commit damage. She escaped to France from where she ran the WSPU until September 1914 when she returned to London on the outbreak of World War I.
