Christopher Seward issued this trade token, worth a half penny, at the sign of the Three Birds, in Bedford Street, Covent Garden, Middlesex.

THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three birds C.E.S (triad of initials in Roman capitals, interlocked with triad of birds, in field).; Rev inscription: IN.BEDFORD.STREET.COVENT.GARDN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY / 1664 (in four lines of Roman capitals, in field).
