The Nag's Head
Richard Lem issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for the Nag's Head tavern at the end of Basinghall Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 136; Obv inscription: RICH.LEM.NAGS.HED (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A horse's head (in field); Rev inscription: BASINGHAL.STRT.END (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.E.L. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
