The Sir Thomas Gresham
Edward Heath issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Bartholomew Lane, under the sign of Sir Thomas Gresham.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 132; Obv inscription: ED. HEATH. AT. SR. THO. GRESHAM (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Bust of Sir Thomas Gresham (in field); Rev: IN.BARTHOLOMEW.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY / E.M.H (in four lines of Roman capitals with triad of intials as bottom, in field).
