A Merry Christmas and Votes for Women in 1910
Christmas card issued by the Women's Social and Political Union for 1909. Printed in the suffragette colours of purple, white and green the card depicts a drummer from the WSPU's own junior band, formed, along with the Women's Band in 1909. On the reverse is the handwritten greeting 'to dear Letty with hearty good wishes from Alice F Ryland Dec 1909' At the bottom of the card Alice has also written 'by Bertha Ryland' identifying the artist/designer of the card as her sister.
