Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 122A; Obv inscription: John Sherwins / Coffee. House / Barbican / 1668 (in 5 lines of cursive script, in field); Rev inscription: His.half / Penny (in 2 lines of cursive script, in field) Device = A hand holding a coffee cup (below inscription in field); heart shaped token.
The Barbican is in Aldersgate Ward and the ward of Cripplegate Without, in the City of London.
