The Bodice Maker
James Leech, a bodice maker, issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in the Barbican.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 118; Obv inscription: IAMES.LEECH (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = BODIS / MAKE / ER (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: IN.BARBICAN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Cupid holding a dart (in field).
