The Cross Keys
Henry Brand issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business, at the sign of the Cross Keys in the Barbican.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 109; Obv inscription: HENRY.BRAND.AT.THE.CROSS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Crossed keys (in field); Rev inscription: KEYES.IN.BARBICAN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = H.I.B. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
