Doll
Wooden doll with painted face, glass eyes and human hair wig; wooden arms are jointed (one is original and one is a replacement) and the wooden body stops at the waist and is missing both legs.
Doll is wearing a brocaded silk taffeta (English, c. 1746-1748) dress with a coffee-coloured ground with three petticoats: (1) Hoop - plain linen; (2) Fustian - patterned with linen fringe; (3) Shift - very fine linen trimmed at the cuffs with bobbin lace. Additional items include pockets with white embroidery.
