Wood, worked wood, ladle
A boxwood ladle with partly turned hemispherical bowl set to one side of a flat handle. The handle is of rectangular section and slightly curved.
Wooden cutlery and tableware would have been used by many of the inhabitants of Londinium, particularly the poorer people. However, such finds are rare as wooden objects usually rot in the ground.
