Men's League for Women's Suffrage
Recruitment flyer issued by the Men's League for Women's Suffrage. The flyer urges male voters to support women in their struggle to achieve the parliamentary vote. The Men's League for Women's Suffrage was founded in 1907 'with the object of bringing to bear upon the movement the electoral power of men...To obtain for women the vote on the same terms as those on which it is now, or may in the future, be granted to men'. Founded by Herbert Jacobs, the league was non-militant and concentrated on 'propagandist work' bringing pressure to bear upon MPs and parliamentary candidates through their constitutents by letter and deputation. By 1910 the League had 10 branches.
