Wheel, ships' steering wheel
A brass decorated wooden wheel for steering a launch or small ship. The brass horizintal pin enabled the helmsman to feel when the rudder was 'amidships'. Sold by Davey & Co.' ship chandlers at West India Dock Road, Tower Hamlets.
