Sample, coiled sample of silk floss caps
A coiled sample of Tussah silk floss caps imported through the East India Docks from China. Tussah silk is produced by wild silkworms which feed on oak leaves. The silk itself is coarser and rather than being spun, has pulled into caps or clumps as part of a process which makes it suitable as a fine filling for pillows or duvets.
