Bowl
Reconstructed bowl of plain coarse vesicular fabirc, black in colour, with white shelly inclusions. It has a bead rim.Excavated in Crayford in 1936. A 'vesicular' fabric has small holes in the texture, particularly on the exposed surfaces, where tempering agents such as shell or limestone fragments have been leached out by acid in the soil.
