Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of the Roman Republic. The coin depicts a galley and military standards. This coin was minted under the authority of the moneyer, M. Antonius (Mark Antony), at an Eastern mint, c. 32-31 BC.
Obv: A galley, advancing right. Obv inscription: [ANT AVG] [III VIR RPC]. Rev: Three military standards (a central eagle flanked by two signa). Rev inscription: [LEG]... . Part of a hoard from Muswell Hill, Haringey, 1928.
