Coin copy, radiate
A copper alloy contemporary copy of a Roman radiate coin (barbarous radiate). The back of the coin depicts Pax, the Roman goddess of peace. This coin was made c. AD 275-285.
Obv: Radiate head, facing right. Obv inscription: Illegible. Rev: Pax, standing left, holding a wreath in her extended right hand and a sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: Illegible. Part of a hoard from Newgate Street, City of London.
