Coin, nummus AE3
A copper alloy nummus of Constantine II. Emperor Constantine II ruled as co-emperor of the Roman Empire alongside his brothers, Constantius II and Constans, AD 337-340. The back of the coin depicts two soldiers. This coin was minted in Arelate (modern day Arles, France), AD 333.
Obv: Cuirassed and laureate bust of Constantine II, facing right. Obv inscription: CONSTANTINVS IVN N C. Rev: Two soldiers, standing front, with two military standards between them. Rev inscription: PCONST in exergue, wreath in field.
