Coin, nummus AE4
A copper alloy nummus of the House of Constantine, the ruling dynasty of the Roman Empire, AD 306-364. The back of the coin depicts the she-wolf suckling the twins Romulus and Remus. This coin was minted in Treveri (modern day Trier, Germany), AD 332-333.
Obv: Cuirassed and helmeted bust of Roma, facing left. Obv inscription: VRBS ROMA. Rev: She-wolf, standing left, suckling Romulus and Remus, two stars above. Rev inscription: TR.S in exergue.
