Coin, nummus AE2
A copper alloy nummus of Emperor Constantine I, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 306-337. The back of the coin depicts a globe and altar. This coin was minted in Treveri (modern day Trier, Germany), AD 321.
Obv: Cuirassed and helmeted bust of Constantine I, facing right. Obv inscription: CONSTANTINVS AVG. Rev: A globe set on an altar, which is inscribed VOT IS XX, with three stars above. Rev inscription: BEATA TRANQVILLITAS, STR in exergue.
