Silver washed, copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Carinus, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 283-285. The back of the coin depicts the emperor and Jupiter, king of the Roman gods. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 283-285.
Obv: Cuirassed and radiate bust of Carinus, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CARINVS P F AVG. Rev: Jupiter, standing left, holding a vertical sceptre in his left hand and a Victory in his extended right hand above an eagle. Rev inscription: IOVI VICTORI, KAB in exergue.
