A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Domitian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 81-96. The back of the coin depicts Virtus, the personification of courage and bravery. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 86.
Obv: Laureate head of Domitian, facing right. Obv inscription: [IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM] COS XII [CENS PER PP]. Rev: Virtus, standing right, holding a vertical spear in his right hand and a parazonium (dagger) in the left. Rev inscription: [VIRTVTI AV]GUSTI, SC in field
