1951 Exhibition, Festival Ship Campania
Guide book to the Festival of Britain exhibition on the ship, Campania, 1951. HMS Campania was a decommissioned aircraft carrier. It was also known as the 'Sea Travelling Exhibition', and was intended to carry the themes of the Festival's South Bank exhibition to the regions. It also emphasised the importance of the sea in celebrating British achievements, which was of particular interest to visitors at the ports where Campania docked.
