A silver denarius coin of Emperor Hadrian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 117-138. The back of the coin depicts Hilaritas, the female personification of rejoicing. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 119-122.
Obv: Laureate head of Hadrian, facing right. Obv inscription: [IMP CAES]AR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG. Rev: Hilaritas, standing front, lifting a veil from her face. Rev inscription: PM TR P COS III, HI LAR / P R in field.
