A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 104-111.
Obv: Laureate head of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAES NERVAE OPTIMO AVG GER DAC PM TR P [COS V PP]. Rev: Victory, advancing left, holding a palm in her left hand and erecting a military trophy with the right; consisting of a helmet, cuirass and shields. Rev inscription: SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI, SC in exergue.
