A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Domitian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 81-96. The back of the coin depicts Fides, the Roman goddess of trust. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 85-89.
Obv: Laureate bust of Domitian, facing right, with aegis. Obv inscription: [IMP] CAES DOMIT AVG GERM COS [X]... . Rev: Fides, standing right, holding corn-ears and a poppy in her right hand and a dish of fruit in the left. Rev inscription: FIDEI [PVBLIC]AE, SC in field.
