Printed Ephemera — 1750-1776
R. and T. Roberts, Boat Builders
Engraved trade card publicising the boat building firm of R.and T. Roberts, located by the King's bargehouse near Lambeth Church. The card is printed on both sides. On one side is engraved the name of the firm together with the royal coat of arms and the claim that it supplies boats to the Prince of Wales and Duke of Kent as well as 'most of the nobility and gentry'. On the reverse are printed illustrations of the various pleasure rowing and sailing boats available for hire from the firm together with information about their hire service.
