Floriate fan handle set with sapphires and amethysts
A double-sided gold jewel with a socketed head at one end and a terminal loop at the other. The jewel is set with rose-cut amethysts and pale-blue sapphires on a ground of white enamel. The function of this jewel is unknown but It may have been used as a fan handle. Part of the Cheapside Hoard.
