Distillation equipment
Raeren stoneware alembic with a domed top surmounted by a finial, inner collecting-channel, tapering spout and a hollow, splayed out pedestal type rim. Special vessels were made for distilling, and were used 'not only by apothecaries for drawing out salubrious waters for restoring health to men, but also by women for making their salves [ointments] and paints.'
