The Chinese Pavillions in Vaux-hall Gardens
This print shows the Temple of Comus in Vauxhall Gardens with its new Gothic decoration radiating out from the central temple to the rest of the collonnade. It was known as the Chinese Pavillions. There were no obvious chinese aspects to the structure but the term erferred more to the exotic architecture.
