Brixton Market
Jane Stanton drew this picture of Brixton market showing stalls along Electric Avenue. The artist made the following comment about her work: 'Almost everyone you meet in London is a 'foreigner'. I myself felt like a foreigner when I first arrived in London from Derbyshire 8 years ago and for this reason have always had a sympathy for and fascination with London's ethnic communities. They stick together in the outlying areas for protection.'
