From the series 'How Has It Been?'
Two police women on Hackney Marshes. From the series 'How has it been?' These photographs of a towpath and marshes in Hackney, East London, capture the experience of life under lockdown as seen through the eyes of Manal Massalha, an urban sociologist. She photographed people flocking to the towpath for exercise, leisure and respite during the period 26 March-11 May 2020 when only one form of daily exercise was allowed.
