A Homeless Man Takes a Mobile Phone from Staff, Dr Hickey Surgery, 2020
A homeless man reaches through the window to take a mobile phone from staff inside the Dr Hickey Surgery, a drop-in health care service for homeless people in Westminster. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing guidelines, all consultations are now done over the phone. Patients only enter the building for urine samples and to make a picture for registration. With restaurants and shops closed, and public toilets and charging points cordoned off, the surgery has been a life-line for many during lockdown.
Part of a project by Grey Hutton documenting the founders, volunteers and users of a range of local charities and community organisations during the Covid-19 pandemic.
