Sam Friedman, Stamford Hill, 2020
Sam Friedman organised an awareness campaign by bringing together graphic designers to create posters warning people [in the Jewish community of Stamford Hill] of the impending coronavirus emergency. "Many people in our community are isolated the whole year round, cut off from the internet, social media, television. So once the news came out that there was a pandemic, the majority of people did not grasp the situation, the emergency of it, and they didn't understand the social distancing guidelines," he said.
Part of a project by Grey Hutton documenting the founders, volunteers and users of a range of local charities and community organisations in the borough of Hackney during the Covid-19 pandemic.
