Bird's Eye View of the General Line of the Tottenham and Farringdon Street Extension Railway
"Bird's Eye View of the General Line of the Tottenham and Farringdon Street Extension Railway from the end of Hatton Garden passing through Clerkenwell, Islington, Stoke Newington and Clapton". The extension was under consideration in 1846 when it was one project covered by the Royal Commission on Railway Termini in the Metropolis - see http://www.bopcris.ac.uk/bop1833/ref765.html. The view has Holborn at its foot with Farringdon Road ('New Farrington Street') running diagonally up from the bottom right corner.
A lot of smoke from chimneys.
