'Fun upon fun, or the first and second part of Mrs Kitty Fisher...'
A ballad-seller is selling a song about the well-known courtesan, Kitty Fisher (1738-1767), whilst his wife sings it in the street.
The verse accompanying the image records his cry as: 'Miss Kitty Fisher's Merry Thought / No Joke, like a true joke / Who'll fish in my fish pond'.
The pun on Fisher is visually amplified by the toy rod and line the man is carrying.
