Our Patron
We're delighted to welcome HRH The Duke of Gloucester as our Patron.
His Royal Highness read architecture at Cambridge and practiced as a partner in a firm of London architects before becoming his father’s heir and taking on increased royal duties. He maintains a deep interest in architecture, construction and conservation and was elected a corporate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1972.
As well as being a Patron of London Museum, The Duke is Royal Patron of the British Museum and President of several architectural preservation societies, including the Victorian Society and National Churches Trust. He is also Patron of Heritage of London Trust, the International Council on Monuments and Sites and the Global Heritage Fund.
The Duke has an association with 150 charities and organisations in total and, in addition to this, he holds several honorary military appointments.
