Freedom of Information Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 establishes a general right of access to information held by public bodies such as the museum, subject to certain exemptions.
The Freedom of Information Act gives any person the right to request information held by public authorities including London Museum. Under the Act the London Museum must publish details of information that is accessible or exempt. This information is contained within the museum’s Publication Scheme, which is based on the Information Commissioner’s model publication scheme.
The Publication Scheme specifies the types of information the museum publishes, the form in which the information is published, and if there are any charges for accessing the information. The latest version was updated in February 2024.
