London Museum
Our main site at London Wall opened in 1976 and closed in December 2022 after 45 brilliant years, to allow us to focus on preparing for the opening of our new museum at Smithfield in 2026

London Museum Docklands
London Museum Docklands is located a stone’s throw from Canary Wharf or West India Quay stations. Opened in 2003, it occupies one of the few remaining original grade one listed warehouses, built in 1802 to store produce from the West Indies.
Here, you’ll find our fascinating Port & River collection, the long history of the capital as a port is revealed through stories of trade, migration and commerce from Roman settlement to the development of Canary Wharf.
London Museum Spaces
The galleries at our site at 150 London Wall may be closed to the public now, but the building is still available for event and wedding venue hire, with many unique and flexible spaces in this very central and historic location.
London Museum Stores
Our Archaeological Archive is based at London Museum Stores in Hackney, holding information on excavations in London over the last hundred years.
Part of the Archaeological Archive, the Centre for Human Bioarchaeology, curates and researches skeletal remains. For information about collections and research, please contact the Centre for Human Bioarchaeology.
