The Golden Lion
William Wadley issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Golden Lion, in Tothill Street, Westminster.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3175. Obv inscription: GOLDEN.LYON.TVTL.S (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A lion rampant (in field); Rev inscription: AT.WESTMINSTER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = WIL / WADL / EY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
